The property is rich in birdlife. Listed species of birds include Diamond Firetail, Diamond Dove, Hooded Robin, Painted Honeyeater and Brown Treecreeper.

Diamond Firetail

In 2011 Burrabungle Park was awarded a large 3 year grant by Birds Australia for the conservation of woodland birds. This was one of only two such grants offered by Birds Australia across the state.

Wedgetailed Eagle Chicks

On an adjoining property, 73 species of birds have been recorded, including White-browed babbler, Rainbow Bee Eater, Mistletoe Bird, Barking Owl, Wedgetailed Eagle, Little Eagle, Owlet Nightjar and Southern Boobook Owl. (List available upon application.)
